Barry J. Parker

For more than 25 years, Mr. Parker has focused his law practice on intellectual property rights, technology licensing, related business transactions and dispute resolution.  He has special expertise in trademarks and brands and comprehensive experience in all other areas of IP law, including copyrights, patents, trade secrets and employer/employee proprietary rights.  He works closely with his clients in the custom development, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions.

Mr. Parker received his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law.  He received a B.A. degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Irvine.  While at SCU, Mr. Parker was a technical editor of the Computer and High Tech Law Journal and the V.P. of the Student IP Law Association. While at U.C. Irvine, Mr. Parker was the Director of the Student Recommended Faculty Program.

Dawn M. Parker 
Senior Legal Assistant

Mrs. Parker works closely with Mr. Parker on all aspects of the IP law practice.  She performs trademark and trade name screening searches, prepares trademark research reports, prepares and files state and federal trademark applications, trademark maintenance declarations and renewal applications.  Ms. Parker also prepares and files copyright applications and domain name registrations.  She peforms IP audit and due diligence research.  She prepares budgets for IP protection strategies. In addition, she drafts a variety of transactional documents and trademark pleadings.  She also handles correspondence with clients and foreign associates regarding IP registration and enforcement matters.  Yes, she does it all and she's really good at it.  Clients love her and so does Mr. Parker.
